GPS based Fitness watch


Role: UX Design Engineer

Challenge: Develop comprehensive UI and UX specifications for watch firmware and companion mobile app for iOS and Android. Incorporate legacy features and new features based on marketing goals, while trying to compete at a cursory level with existing smartwatches on the market.

Features: 8 languages supported, multiple workout modes, Race against feature, downloadable and customized coach workouts, customized workout training pages

Process: Transformed an outdated model for building specifications utilizing an iterative process for design feedback (spent quite a bit of time in Atlassian's Confluence & Jira). Apply agile process for incorporating shifting requirements, while managing visual design, interaction, keyflows, usability, and project complexities (mobile and cloud). Mentor junior designers and support multiple teams (iOS, Android, Cloud) while developing a formalized spec release strategy.

Outcomes: Product launched last March, available for sale Timex.com



Family Tech, Kids Tracker


Role: UX Design Engineer

Challenge: Cultivate and develop comprehensive UI and UX specifications for cellular kid's watch (location tracker) and (Parent) mobile app. Integrate a diverse set of features from partner vendors, while evaulating competitor location tracker smartwatches on the market.

Features: Location tracking (multiple technologies; GPS, wifi), Activity tracking, Calls, Messaging, Games, Safezones, family network of contacts

Process: Build iterative specifications using Atlassian Confluence & Jira) Apply agile process for incorporating shifting requirements, while managing visual design, interaction, keyflows, usability, project complexities (mobile and cloud), and supporting multiple teams (iOS, Android)

Outcomes: Product launched Dec 2019, available for sale at T-mobile.
